3 Colonial coin day.....1775 Spanish silver (updated copper pics)

Hit an old cartpath today near my house.

1775 is a half reale? any thoughts on value?

I believe the other 2 coppers are King Georges......I can make out a bust when I wet them and angle in the light.


last 2 pics are of the better copper cleaned up a bit....2nd must be a counterfeit, much lighter in weight

A few years ago that half real was worth retail $5/$10 in VG/F condition.
It's composition is .9030 silver; or .0981 oz.
Great find!!

Great looking real but your chances are probably better with George coppers than reals for $$$ finds. You'd probably get $20-$25 on Ebay.

Ummm yea, the half reale is a find you make an avatar out of, or you pass it onto your children, or you make a necklace out of, or.... What you don't do is worry about how much it is worth IMO!! AWESOME find!! Congrats!

That is one sweet hunt. The Spanish silver is all that. I have seen all kinds
of it come up but have yet to find any myself. It's a shame it's not worth
more. There is no way i could ever sell anything i have found unless my
little girl looked up at me and said daddy i am hungry.
