Thats rather a 5 Pfennig tin coin.

5 Reichsmark would have been a hefty silvercoin and I do not think they minted silver still in 1941.

Nice score anyway.

Oh okay thank you for clarifying that. Hope I find a cache of those. Haha

Excellent hunt

Great finds Germany has soooo much hisrory my town was founded 1817 I would love to hunt there good job on the coins

That is awesome. I know the town of rodgau where I live has been lived on since 700ad....let's get together for a hunt sometime

Your coins look like zinc and the bigger one is probably 5 Pfennig. Most war time coins were zinc and small denominations.
The last of the 5 Reichsmark coins were minted 1939 with a diameter of 29mm and a weight of 14gr. 90% Silver. There are no war time 5 Reichsmark.

From 1951 to 1974 the 5 mark coin was .625 silver before then should be higher silver concentrate. Nice finds.

Nice finds, congratulations! :occasion14:

Thanks so much for all that information. Looking forward to my next hunt later today. I'm lucky to go out a hour at a time since I have a little one but boy the hunts are fantastic. Can't wait to go out for the whole day.
