3 Civil War camp WHATIZITZ?

Infantry I button is for scale purpose (and bragging rights). The three other items were found in civil war camp...

1) Carved bullet? What was it carved for? Picking action implement/tamping?
2) Brass riveted nailed item? It seems it went thru wood. Nails were tapped at end and capped.
3) Small brass. It is light. It doesn?t seem to have been a cartridge or carbine.

The carved bullet was used as a pencil.

.....it sure looks like it, but boy....it is hollow and light.

Maybe just a jacket ? I'm no ammo expert for sure ,just saw the marks and thought it may be a clue.

the thimble shaped object looks to have rifling marks on it ?

So some bored soldier rams a random brass cap object down his barrel and they have to pull it out with a worm? That would explain the odd hole in the tip...
