3-4 feet down

You will want a two box.....depending on actual depth an F75 or T2 in cache locate might work. If it is for one use I would see if you can borrow or rent one(two box)

A Sierra Madre from Whites with the optional 15 inch coil will reach down 4-5 feet. Or the TM808 will reach WAY down.

Just keep in mind that the sized of this supposed "small box" is critical. I mean, how "small" is a "small" box? Because a 2-box unit like the TM-808 will not pick up an object smaller than soda can sized. So for example, a smaller jewelry box sized item might be at that cut-off point for being too small to detect. However, a cigar-sized box ........ no problem.

Thanks guys. I think what i will eventually get is a detector that has two different coils I can easily swap out one for smaller close stuff and one for deeper detecting. Alot of treasure is deeper than my gold bug can detect. I'm hoping I can find someone from NH that has a deeper detector and go to this spot that has a big treasure.

We use a White 808 TM for that kind of stuff. Its good down to about 10 ft.

Well we have found the smaller stuff with our 808 but at some depth. It does not pick up on the nails and pull tabs at an inch or so.

id like to try one of those sometime.
