Six out of eight stops produced something today.

1 - Ø
2 - Japan 10 yen
3 - 15¢ (clad dime and nickel)
4 - 75¢ (three clad quarters)
5 - 1¢
6 - 1¢
7 - Ø
8 - 1¢

There was commentary in another post about why we do this:

I am sorry... but i do not see ANY logic in this. Quite the contrary. Again no offense and not slamming ya... just does not seem to be worth any of it.

Depends on what you consider "worth" I guess. My 11-mile circuit to 8 different machines gets me out into the fresh air and sunshine. I walk to work four days a week so it's also a nice run for my ole beast of a car. I normally do it on a Sunday when traffic is light. It reminds me of the "Sunday drives" we used to do with the family back when I was a kid in the 70s. And finding a new coin or two for the collection is only a bonus.

It does add up...in about 2 weeks, maybe 3....I ended up with $23.40 this last go round... not a lot but you never know what you'll find... I've built up quite a collection of Canadian coins as well amongst the foreign coinage...which I hope to spend in the future...my wife and I do alot of grocery shopping which can be tedious at times...the coinstar keeps me patient. :). And today...I nabbed a silver quarter...what a great hobby!

Absolutely agree 💯. I have 10 I check in a 25 mile radious. I have acquired literally 5 pounds of international coins since January 2025. Plus the occational silvers, and wheat backs.
I love it, and my husband feels it's a good health hobby and also for the same reasons you also stated. 😊 Happy Hunting you just never know what you will find.
