I was out of the country for a few weeks and finally was able to get back to the stores. I had a few good finds. I hit a thrift store in Ormand Beach FL while driving back from FL and stumbled upon a thrift store. I went thru their cutlery and found 3 marked sterling pieces of flatware for $0.25 each. I also took a gamble on a small spoon thinking it was coin silver. Turns out the spoon and the fork with the stamped Sterling marked flunked the acid test but I will take the two Rogers ones. I also bought a Made in India bowl because it looked really good for silver. Alas this flunked the acid test also. That being said it is a very nice piece. I also picked up a Sterling watch for $5 which I have had great look selling and also another watch with Navajo sterling band decorations. Unfortunately one stone is missing. I might try to fix this myself. When I got back home I hit my regular stores and got my second gold watch and a Sterling necklace for $.99. This is a 10Kt white gold ladies Hamilton in working condition with two small real diamonds. The band is junk but I am glad to have it. I am looking for a good band then will probably sell this one. Europe was great but I am kind of glad to get back into my normal routine.
