Nice finds, really nice pendant!

Yeah, that's the one thing I don't understand yet.
When I hold my gold ring under my detector it reads it as a pulltab ???

Same thing all KT too, 10, 14 & 18kt
That means I dig everything? (lol....like I wouldn't anyway being a newb)

But, now that this post confirms gold regestering as foil, I will for sure dig everything!

Cool finds - I've never found ugly gold :D :D :D

Thanks for posting - good finds!

Alchemy, yep I've read it, and read it on the treasurenet forums...but it wasn't real to me until it happened. I do well with coins and silver; however, to get the gold you have to be willing to pull up the trash. Yesterday it was totally worth it. In the future, I will probably determine the hunt by how much time I have on my hands. For an hour or under, coin and silver mode. For anything over an hour, I will invest in gold hunting with little discrimination, and higher sensitivity.

yup, to find the gold ya gotta dig those tabs, no way around it! ;) nice finds! :)

ANY GOLD IS GOOD GOLD!!!
I dunno. There is just something exciting about gold to me. aybe it's because its worth $$$$$. Maybe it's because it is just so darn pretty coming out of the ground, dredge, or pan. Never has mattered much to me.
I love it!
Great find IMO.

Very, very pretty......
I will keep that gold registration in mind the next time foil shows up
on my XLT......
I guess we just need to stick with the rule....."DIG IT ALL"

G :o L D !!!

Superb finds....love the pendant. Congrats on your finds.

;) RR

I absolutely love that ring for sxome reason. It Kind of looks like a Gold molar cap that was made into a ring.

The pendant is 14K. The ring is 10K. Funny thing about this ring.... Someone took a nice gold wedding band, and attached some metal (not gold), and then gold plated the metal junk. And then, etched flowers in it. The shape of it look like a butt. Ergo, ugly-butt ring name I have bestowed on it. It is not the prettiest ring in the store. I think the girl who recieved it from her boyfriend, slipped it off her finger into the lake, never to return. It showed as a penny/dime on my classic id. This is the same area I find silver rings unless their large or silver coins that come up in the higher ranges. It was very exciting. Just wish it didn't look like the shape of a butt....

Man those are nice finds with your Whites. Just think if you had a Water Detector, the great finds you would be posting. Five other guys and myself have taken over 5,000 rings out of a lake. We use water detector's and usually wade in the water up to our necks. We found these rings over a period of 5 years. It used to be an amusement park area and had lots of activity in the 20's, 30's and even now has lots of activities.

Thanks for your post, hope to see more gold. HH, Ringfinder

Seriously, I don't know how you guys do it. I tried to hunt in water ankle deep. Granted I didn't put mine in the water cause I don't know if it water proof. It drove me nuts. I could see the bottom until I would dig a little. Then it's mud and water. After that my target moves everytime the water ebbs and flows. And, then to top it off the hole I dig keeps getting new sand and mud in it. ARRRGGGGG! Do industrial scoops really work? I feel like I nee to SEE what I am digging. Not true I know because I see all you water hunters and your pics. I obviously need to try it again.....5,000 rings...
