Hello Everyone!
Only my second time out with my Bounty Hunter Tracker IV and my first Indian Head! It is only a 1893, but the oldest coin by far that I have ever found. Hit up a friend's 150 yr old house in N. Massachusetts and was hoping for something like this. Also got two non-key wheaties, 2 clad quarters, and the obligatory pull tabs and nails.
Thanks for looking!

Nice find. Indian heads are great coins to find. You live in a good location for metal detecting. Good luck with that bounty hunter! ;D

Nice finds S.S......and might I add.....This is not an obligatory post. LOL....Joe

Well, thats a good way to start a career in TH'ng.........

Maybe I started with the obverse because it was in better shape, but here is the other half of the story-
Will a copper or bronze that has been in the ground this long always have some form of pitting?
Oh, thank you mirage for your past posts... this is after using olive oil as you have suggested before, i think.

Nice Find. I have found many IH's and probably the best thing you can do when cleaning a green IH is DON'T. They usually don't clean up that well and I usually say if you can read the date and you can see the LIBERTY on her head band, don't mess with it.

Again Great find, I sure wish I lived up in your neck of the woods. There are so many great places to hunt up your way.

Good Luck and HH< Ringfinder

Man that is a nice second day out. Still looking for my first indian Head. Maybe I need to go to camp Logan this weekend and find it.

Oh, come on now guys... I didn't mean ONLY, It's just that there are so many incredible finds here every day that are much older. I will be thankful for any day that I'm not skunked. (Especially with my lower-end BH tracker IV! ;) )

"It is only a 1893" :-\ ;D Again, very nice.
