2nd day off, I'm going huntin!!
Hey all,
I know that the weather here in Northwest PA is getting ugly, but I decided a little snow wasn't going to keep me from getting out for a couple of hours. I'm in the second day off of three, I really hadn't planned the trip so I just went down to one of the local parks (Crescent Park) and did some detecting. Lucky for me the ground was not frozen which was a bonus but I took the 24" shovel with me just incase. I wasn't too worried about getting bombarded with questions from those passing by (No one was out in the snow). When I started, the snow wasn't falling nor was the wind blowing which was a good sign. I have hunted this park in the summer time but wasn't able to cover some of the area that I wanted due to all the people in the park, today I didn't have that problem, there was no one around. After a couple of hours the snow began to fall so I decided to call it quits and head back to the car. On my way back I ran into a co-worker who was out for a walk, she told me of a spot where she had lost 2 diamond rings (they were in her pocket) so when the weather thaws, I plan to hit that area in hopes of finding the rings for her.
Here are my finds (minus the ton of pulltabs and old bottle caps)
