Land-Mag. negotiated a 4 day extention ( 
) on the already drilled Rape Seed which recently went straight onto the roughed stubble. (I didn't think it likely, as we were previously told - 'no detecting after drilling')
They had not yet rolled it, so it was far from perfect but we needed to take every opportunity. These coins came from the area I had already covered & could only find 7 Roman coins on both outings (due to high stubble).
Over the next few days (transport allowing, as Dad is away), I hope to grid into a fresh area of better coins
I did 3 hours & Dad only 1.5 hours, but of the 3 coins he had, he managed the best one of the evening
Typical. I did get an album coin of Gallienus - Centaur with bow reverse, only had 1 of these in the past 
Strangely, I stopped to shout to Dad & Land-Mag 'where is the silver in here' (meaning Roman), my next swing & before I moved, I dug a blank silver sixpence (probably William III)
