26 cents in clad and a lot of dog poo and a few other things

what a nice day it was to day, only had to wear a light jacket. i got to try out my new dfx. i went to a place that i went over years ago with my xlt. i have found silver there in the past plus ih and a 1913 dog tag. the dfx is allmost no different then the xlt but i do believe it has a bit of more dept then the xlt thats in presets. the place was full of junk and when it was time to go home both pockets of my jacket was full of pull tabs metal strips and other junk. and the ground was full of dog poo and this lot is big. the dfx was picking up metal screws and small metal nuts and junk at 7 in and eight in. i found one lock: Corbin cabinet lock co, new Britain ct and piece of a Chevy car or truck. i don't know what year, may be the 50s or 60s?. and a small button that has dad Jr with stars. also i found a stronger dislike for dog poo

my find are nothing compared to yours i have seen a lot of nice stuff that you posted. it was nice to get out. my kids are driving me nuts. this is the first time i been able to get out in a long time. happy hunting

Good to hear that you got out Jon, poop, or no poop. You'll like the DFX...I'd recommend two books...DFX Gold Methods and Digging Deeper with the DFX. If you're digging a lot of tabs and foil, gold will pop out when you least expect it.

i just got the dfx a few weeks ago. and thank you , i will look up these books i want to tweak it were i can get more dept out of it as i can. i also got 8 in excelerator dd coil. i wonder if thats good for the trash under the ground at the place i hunted? thanks for the replye

I have the 8" DD too. It gets good depth. I have only used it a couple of times. DD coils have a narrower field than the standard coil's bowl-shaped field, which make them better able to separate close targets, like in trashy areas.

Interesting looking emblem, I don't think I've ever seen one like it...
Don't have too much trouble with the dog poo, but the geese around here sure do do leave a lot...
