Well, not exactly. I am looking for answers as well on this one. I found a beautiful necklace today which passed a 22K Acid test with flying colors. The latch is stamped 9995 FG. Does this mean 99.95% Gold, meaning 24K. The deal is the chain is white though. It rings in a density of 18.3 which would make it right on 22K Gold which would make more sense of it being white gold. The stamp just kinda through me off. Either way, I'm tickled to death. It weighs in at 38.56 grams. Also found a 14K yellow gold ring and a titanium/carbon fiber ring.

You have the proverbial gold mine where you are hunting! Your making me sick, I can't find a coin, ring, or any piece of jewelry even if it were in my pocket. Ugh!

Sorry, had to get that out, I'm glad you are finding such good finds, I do hope you find more. For me the search continues.

Gold is made white by mixing it with other metals……24K is 100%.
Could it be platinum?

Thanks doc-d - you have provided education :)

I believe 9995 is a mark for Palladium.

As long as it don't mean "Filled Gold"
Did you scratch deep into the metal?
You said the Density was right . I sure hope it,s the real deal.

Very nice....your definitely on a hot area to hunt .

I feel like its real gold. My luck the FG would mean fools gold, that's just my luck most of the time.

Thanks for sharing, hoping for the real deal, and HH to all.

I believe JimDon has it.

Not that I know for sure, but
1) 9995 seems to be a number associated with palladium, and
2) It surely isn't white gold if the 9995 is right, if that were it's purity, it would be yellow without a doubt.

Nice finds Bejamble, I don't care what ithe necklace is it's more than I'm finding lately. Hope your CTX is better now. Way to go!
