Dunno about the lead, the other two look like bed post finials if that is a largie at the bottom of the photo. Let's see a photo of the large cents, that spill is likely banner worthy!!

Congrats on your finds. Why do we care about lead discs? Show the 23 large cents. That was your heading.

CB,
Congrats on the Large Cents. I think the lead disk fits inside of a clock pendulum for weight.

Neat Finds :)

It may just be my eyes playing tricks on me at 5:30 in the morning :laughing7: but I'm pretty sure I can see numbers and impressions in this piece.
You didn't offer the dimensions, but I like Breezies' theory of a clock pendulum back, my thought is it may be a horse rosette. :icon_scratch:

Dave

PS. I'd sure love to see pics of the LC cache you found too!

It could be just lead stock. Years ago lead was used for a variety of things and it never fails that I dig at least 1 piece near every 19th century home I visit. All shapes and sizes.

Mannn, where are these large cents to look at? I've got lots of lead discs like yours to look at at home. Pic please?

I agree with the finials assessment made by most, would love to see pics of the LCs:headbang:
