So I drive around and picked up $50.00 MWR and the rest is customer wrapped. I would have liked to get more but I have $55 tied up in copper pennies and about $125.00 off being counted. I need one more 99 WAM to send 4 off for grading, then I'm going to take a break for a while. It will take around $1,000-$1,500 to get one I'm guessing. You never know though. I'm not going through any today I don't think. Oh, and I have 2 or 3 branches in my area that will take bags as well as the other one I have. They just have to be sent out for "Subject to Count"results will be posted Monday probably.

Oh and for those of you who are wondering why I have the same boxes in every picture, I fill them with $25 of customer wraps each time. It's an easy way to keep track of how much I have, and I use them to transport the rolls into the house.

Thanks for the photos - now we know what boxes of pennies look like. :laughing7:

why not buy a canvas sack? I use those and they work wonderful, they can fold up into your pocket too (i like wearing cargo shorts so the pockets are loose compared to tighter pants)

I do have a canvas sack and wear cargo shorts ;)

Good luck! How is bag counting in your area? I know some go by weight which would suck if they were all zinc.

I am enjoying silver but am jealous of all your cent finds! esp. with my unfilled wheat book.

Idk... I guess I'll find out how they do it. I doubt they do cents by weight as they would know there are 2 different weights for cents.

I read an article by someone doing volume cents years ago saying that the delivery company just averaged them (about 20% copper) and paid out by weight, instead of counting each individual coin. It may be good to keep a count of the cents that go in the bag and make sure you're getting the same number out.

Good luck with the bags!

Ouch. Well if that's the case I'm going to lose a bit. The bank I take $50 bags to sends them out and haven't gotten a call back of any being short. If that is the case they are counting 2.62g per cent, whereas I'm sending them at 2.5g per cent. I'm losing $4.20 on the $100, which isn't really bad to be honest, and I throw in my 82s which are probably 4/5 copper. I had about 1,200 of those in with the $120 I dumped. So about 960 are copper, in $100 that's about 800, so after factoring that in, I'm sending them in at actually 2.548g per cent. They would still be counting them as 2.62g per cent, so I'm losing $2.75 on the $100 which is perfectly ok with me!

So, I have over 5 boxes left and...I really don't want to go through any today, but I have to get it done.

Results in nothing spectacular:

75 wheats:

45 - 50's
21 - 40's
7 - 30's
2 - 20's
0 - 10's

2 KGVi
8 Dimes
1 2 Cent Euro
1 Very Minor 1970s Clipped Planchet
1 MS63+ 2000 WAM

I'm still looking through some of the varieties

98s and 00s anything less than MS is worth about $5.00 anything MS60+ is worth probably $10-$50 depending on the grade. A graded MS65RD would fetch around $50 probably. Anything AU58 or less for the 1999 WAMs is worth between $75-$175. MS60 would probably fetch $200. MS63, I'd say $250 MS65 $350. For my MS63+ 2000 not graded I could probably get like $15-$20 for it.

I have $200.00 ordered for Thursday. This means I have nothing to do the next 2 days because I have already bought basically all the CWR in a 15 mile radius that aren't my dumps. I need to rethink this dump and pick up situation. I need more money really. There is another Chase I can take bags to about 12 miles away, but I only want to go out there if I could pick up some coins the same time I go out to dump every week. There are enough banks out there, but I don't have enough money. I need to figure this out. :/
