My second year seriously metal detecting was great:
My first 1700's coin was a Spanish cut 2 Reale.
I haven't specifically looked for coins but I did find 4 large cents of which only an 1838 version wasn't toasty, also found an 1866 Shield Nickel and a few Indian Head Cents.
- 150 or so civil war bullets including many Williams Cleaners and an Enfield with a "57" in the bottom AND the basswood plug still intact, also found some nice carved bullets.
- about 50 buttons or button backs including a couple Eagle I and an Eagle D, a toasty NC Sunburst and plenty of flat buttons.
-a few J-Hooks and other rivets, etc.
The glass on the back of the table is full of camp lead; I also found a quart or so of modern lead and gobs of clad but I didn't include it in the pic.
Happy Hunting to all in 2018!! Many Thanks to TNetters for helping me ID a few items!
