This year is tough to put into words. It was difficult going separate ways with a hunting buddy, but there were also plenty of great times as well. I have been blessed to make so many new friends, and further the bonds of existing ones. Here is the summary in mostly pictures....

Congrats on the Banner year Steve. :occasion14: I dream of digging many of the items you have found this past season. I had a great time hunting with you a couple times in 2016 and I will always treasure those memories. Looking forward to watching you pull more fantastic finds in the upcoming season (hopefully when we hunt again in April. :notworthy: You are a true ambassador to the hobby my friend.

Great Post!!
It reflects the awesome power that this hobby has when bringing Treasure Hunting Enthusiasts together.
I was just speaking to another Tnet member about putting together a group hunt in the Spring of 2017. Of course, , your name was mentioned numerous times.
Congrats on a great 2016 season.

1) I like the snake killer part of the group, right or wrong those things give me the creeps...big time.

2) Thats a lot of silver....That's a lot of Silver!

3) really like that last shoe buckle you found...awesome.

4) I think you did well in the friends department, maybe most important of all.

"Good luck out there" (next year)

PS my post is coming, spent all day yesterday organizing 10 years worth of pics.

Incredible :headbang: What a year you had. Not only did you clean up on some sick coppers, buttons and relics... but the amount of silver you dug makes me envious. I've told you before, but I hardly ever dig the shiny stuff, so even a "modern" silver makes me happy still. I dug 3 silvers this year, a 1722 half pistareen, a cut piece of 8 and a rosie dime :laughing7: How's that for a spread on the date range! Anyway, your pile of silver is just impressive to me. Your navy tongue, cannon button and iron buckle frame are just a few of my favorites. Looking forward to seeing what 2017 brings you :occasion14:

Outstanding year, and great post! You truly know what great treasure is. Good finds just top it off.

Maybe we should get world leaders to go detecting together! Lol

What a year Steve. I was gonna make a post but now I'm embarrassed compared to your great finds. We have to find a way to meet up and dig in 2017. Merry Christmas to you and your family.

Man! That's a solid season right there folks!
You scored on several levels and had an amazing season!
Congratulations on your achievement!

Wow!! That is an amazing amount of items. Very diverse, heavy in the coppers and silvers..with a dash of Spanish. Couldn't really hope for any better than that. Congrats, and good luck next year. Merry Christmas and Happy Hunting

Thanks Charlie. And you're right - there's a lot to be thankful for bro. You'll be missed when you're south for the winter but at least you won't be missing anything;)

Congrats on a great 2016 season.

To me it's one of the best hobbies in both getting outdoors, learning, fun, and a little socializing during breaks;) On the NYNJAS page we'll get something started for a spring hunt buddy.

Thx for looking

Thanks Rick. We need to catch up one of these days. My phone got crushed a few months ago and I lost your number.

My goodness that's a lot of silver my friend. I found like 8 pieces. 3 were pre 1800 then a bunch of merc dimes. One of my favorite finds is that Hibernia copper....god I love those things. The military plates are killer and that big French silver is amazing. I really enjoyed having you guys come up this fall. I'm glad you enjoyed holding that old coin I found lol. Sorry about strip searching you and Brad before you left my house but I'm pretty partial to my finds. The invasive search of you that Brad did was NOT my idea lol. I really hope 2017 is filled with incredible hunts and some stellar finds. I have a good feeling....I say that every year I guess. Positive thoughts my friend

Wonderful assortment of finds and congrats on a great year. May your good luck continue in 2017.

John
