There's much more of the relics and junk jewelry.......these are the best, IMHO.

It took some time to find my first wheat.........now, 130 wheats later.........IHPs, Buffs and a V.............

I did enlist the services of a local jeweler who verified the pieces not marked.............
My Compadres was very good to me this year............as were all of you.

Thanks for lookin' in and best of luck to all during the 2017 campaign!!

Congratulations on the first year of keepers, you did very well! Congratulations! :occasion14:

Funny in the seventh photo (bottom center ring separated back) I found the same ring, but yours is in better condition.

Dang Chizzy that Compadre sniffed out the goods. Congrats on a great inaugural season. :occasion14: I am curious as to what goodies the Vaquero will find. Hoping you pull a big silver this year, maybe a walker or a Barber.

Good Luck in 2017.

Great variety of finds, your experience gained in 2016 will serve you well in the years ahead....
The SLQ is quite a looker.... all 3 of mine don't have a date, nice to see that crisp ones can be found.
Congrats my friend, Happy New Year!

Agreed you did real well grasshopper.
You did real well on the silvers, and jewelry departments, awesome.

I have to say it is quite amazing at what keeps being found after all the years MDs have been around.

Thank you, Doc. Seeing your finds this past year has been a pleasure. Knowing that you have dug the same ring tells me I'm on the right track!! Best of luck to you in 2017.........hope to see more great finds by you (and your daughter)!!

Thanks, Loco-Digger. I begin my Vaquero education today..........sure hope the learning curve is short. Still having trouble with ground balancing. My last air tests after gb were still only 6"......that has to improve. I'd sure like to join you folks who seem to pull silver most every time out and a big one would be a first for me!!
Good luck to you this season and I hope your winter is mild enough to keep you on the hunt............

Thanks, Dave. I wasn't real sure how to rate my rookie season, having never seen anyone's first year finds for comparison. But, I'm happy with the results........I guess that is what counts. That SLQ was a surprise (as was the 1899 Barber dime)........never expected to see old silver in a hole with the Compadre.
Here's hoping that you are able to keep your back tuned enough to get out there and hunt when you want and have great success in 2017!!

Nice bunch of finds congrats and good luck in the new year

Thanks, art.........your congratulatory posts are a pat on the back and help to keep me inspired.......no matter how meager my finds have been!!
Good luck to you in 2017 and hope to see you pull another gold piece!!

3 half dollars no less, congrats.

Thanks, Rick.........I hunted a lot!! My hope is that the quality of my finds can come close to matching yours this year.........and you only got out 20 times!!
Sure hope your 2017 schedule enables you to find a little more time to get out there!!

That means a great deal coming from a veteran mder, atw......thank you.
Good luck to you in 2017 and I hope you find PA as bountiful as NYC has been for you!!

Nice! The compadre is a solid machine. Good to see all that silver coming your way!

A simple machine for a simple........well, the Compadre has been very good to me!! :laughing7:
Thanks, Skippy........I'll need to do much better to find a tenth of what you managed this last year!!
