Wanted to get this one done sooner but I've been too busy hunting and looking for THIS years good ones! Ya know, I'm sure you all get this too, but people are always asking "have ya found anything good/valuable"? LOL Don't ya just love a hobby that has the ability to help pay for itself or the possibility of finding something life changing? Sure we are talking money and valuable things here but I gotta say that the 3 ring returns I was able to make this year were even better than finding the rings themselves! We all know the feeling you get when you lose something that matters to you, possibly forever,....it sucks. If you can take that feeling away from someone else and return a lost item, do it, you will BOTH feel great about it! (unless you are returning a $30,000 platinum iceberg like the one Max found for someone this year, THEN you might have a smile on your face but a small knot in your stomach and a tear in your eye!)
Clad:
Turned in $76.96 earlier this year when messing with the tumbler and trying different stuff. Add that to the $329.85 that I managed to put through the Coinstar machine before it developed a "coin clot" and stopped working. Heparin wasn't gonna fix it and neither could the not-so-happy woman at Kroger! Cleaned em all really well and separated out the ones I knew wouldn't make the cut but there were plenty more. I was able to cash out what I had put in to that point and still had around another $40.00 or so left over. That puts the grand total somewhere around $446.81. Gas money right?
Silver:
Rings-------------21
Chains-------------3
Pendants-----------5
Bracelets----------2
Earrings----------16
Coins-------------30
Total Weight-----------------275g
Best coin was my last of the year and a first for me, a 1909 Barber dime, dinged up but beautiful to me!
Gold:
Rings-----------22 (3 Returns)
Chains-----------1
Pendants--------8
Bracelets--------2
Earrings---------3
Dental-----------4
Teef (Grill)-----1
Total weight (mixed karats)----------121.3g
Misc:
Junk Rings-----52
Future display case items:
Most of these items, buttons, ship nails, fossils and other stuff came from this year but some are from previous ones, just wasn't gonna separate it all till I work on the case. Good button year!
Thanks for looking and I hope everyone has a great 2016!
