i only see about three that i would not think worth finding. is that a morrow mt. on r. next to last row? and what is the point to the left of the pine tree with the little white arrowhead between them and pointing at the one i do not know. Terry

Nice finds Twitch.........That Dalton is a shame....I hate the almost whole beauty. That pinetree is nice. Are those thumbnail scrapers?.........................GTP

GTP - Yes, they're thumbnail scrapers. I know a lot of people don't think much of them as artifacts but I'm actually a big fan. I have (in my opinion) a very nice collection of thumbnail scrapers that I'm very proud of. The Dalton was an odd find, because I wasn't really bummed out about the ear nick. It's the only Dalton projectile I have, the other 4 I have are all knives.

Terry - The 'Morrow Mountain' point is actually a Pesker Diamond. It's the only one I've ever found. The other point you ask about is a Dalton.

Thanks for the comments.

Rich - I've moved around a lot over the last ~20 years. Everywhere I go I find new places to hunt and new people to hunt with. I try to get back and hunt with friends as often as I can. Of course I'm also a host to old friends in my new location as well. So far I have personally found artifacts in 11 states. I'm looking to a couple more to the list over the next few months.

Yes the Pinetree is a nice point. It's my nicest beveled point.

yes that pine tree is very special, it looks like it was used for a long time an reused, i like them that way instead of looking like they were lost before being used, are even worst being thrown away because the maker thought some thing was wrong with them. Terry

Nice finds Twitch.

I wouldn’t be bummed by the ear either unless it's a fresh break. Regardless of the damage it is a mighty fine early point that I would be proud to display. Too many people are hung up on perfection rather than seeing a weapon that was made, and oftentimes damaged during normal use thousands of years ago.

11KBP - thanks, As I said earlier, the ear nick doesn't really bother me. The base is heavily ground, and the break is either ground or creek worn. I think it's an old break.

Thanks,
Joe
