2010 finds for a newbie.

i got my detector for christmas last year. i went out alot during the first part of the year. then work started to pick up and i couldnt go as often. i know i wont be going any the rest of the year so here it is. all my findings for 2010. enjoy..

total coins $44.35
quarters $27.50 1 silver 1946
dimes $10.40
nickels $1.60
pennies 4.85 2 wheats 1943, 1955
21 foriegn coins not sure from where or value
8 rings 1 a 3-ringer with diamonds
4 ear rings 1 925 silver
random tokens and other stuff. not to bad for a first timer.

Here on the net one wouldn't find too many good words about the detector you're using. Cobra just doesn't quite sound like Whites, Tesoro or Minelab. Watching the pictures of all your finds once again it becomes obvious that it's not the detector- it's the detectorist who produces the results. You're doing good and I'm pretty sure your second year of detecting will bring even more finds. I'm looking forward to see your posts in 2011. Happy hunting!

thanks everyone. i give it a hard go at it when im out there hunting. and yes i know the cobra gets a bad rap. if my wife hadnt got me that one for christmas in 09 i would of bought myself a whites or minelab. but i will use what i have and one day up grade to the big boy detectors. the hard part now is trying to find places to hunt.
