Hi all,
Another detecting season is coming to an end, once again it was another great year! Since I got my newest detector 3 years ago, I dug up over $1500 in lost change and added 159 rings to my collection, including 47 sterling silvers and 11 gold rings, a few of which I was able to return to their owners
This year I found 36 rings and about $250 in change, including 34 silver dimes, quarters and halves and 238 wheat pennies, the most I've ever found (from hunting old private yards around here).
My hunts will be fewer next year since I landed a new job in November, which takes up most of my time. When I do hunt though, I'll be looking for the older areas to find more silver coinage.
My new book will be out early in 2010 and is a chronology of my detecting finds and what I have learned over the last few years. I want to share it with people who are just getting into the hobby, or who would like information guaranteed to make their experiences more enjoyable. More details as they become available.
Here are my finds for 2009. Hope you all have a very Happy New Year.
