Hey everyone,

Got off from work early today. Had some extra time and wanted to see how much I have found this yr. So I dug out the 06 box and started counting.

Not a monster yr but a solid one. This is just the keepers. No wheats included. I found over 300 wheats not show. I have also not shown all the rings, relics and choice artifacts.

It would take alot of time and photos to hold it all. I figured I could share the coins for right now. I'll give you a break down of the finds.

I could have got better pics but I didn't know these cameras eat batteries after just a pic or 2. And all I have at the house right now is cheap batteries.

But you guys will get the general idea of it all. Here is a list of the coins.

Silver: 67 Total.

Break down: 14 Rosies, 10 Barber Dimes, 4 Barber Quarters, 2 Standing Lib Quarters, 4 Washingtons, 1 Seated dime, 5 War Nickles, 1 Walker, 1 1944 D Twenty Centavos, 1 1880 Canadian 5 Cent Silver, And last 24 mercs.

With rings and other silver artifacts I found this yr puts me closer to 80 pieces of silver for the yr.

Now for the non silver coins.

Here are the break downs : 9 Key Wheat Dates, 9 1922 Transit Tokens, 1 Chinese Cash Coin 1800's, 1 No Date Matron Head Large Cent Holed, 13 Different Old Tokens, 13 V-nickles, 36 Indian Head Pennies, And Finally 21 Buffaloes.

Hope you all like the write up. I wanted to get you all better pics but I think these will do. These totals add up to 191 total keepers on the yr.

Thanks for looking,

HH Jer

Killer season Jer, WTG!!!
Good luck with the new year, & Happy hunting~

Jeremy,

Great finds. I'd consider that one hell of a good year! I've always enjoyed your posts...the diamond ring was awesome. My detecting has been shut down for weeks now due to the snow. Even when it melts (usually in the open, park areas), the ground stays frozen enough to make digging a real drag. So I've got to keep my spirits up by watching the success of my fellow TH'ers and praying for Spring.

I've found that if you shut off the viewing screen on your digital camera, batteries will last several times longer. Kind of makes it tough to verify focus on your close-ups, but with mine, I press the button down part way, then wait a bit for it to focus.

Nice year, Jer. Those 1922 tokens are cool; I found one myself this year.

How did you clean those IH pennies ?? Oh, by the way, VERY good year, congrats.

Hey Jeremy. Good numbers. I would say a very solid year.

You definenately did better than Nate and I in the IH & V nickel department. I was surprise you haven't found more seated dimes. We actually found 4 this year. :) I am also sure you beat us in the relic category. ;)

Good luck in 2007.

Bob

Good deal Jer~

Awesome finds Jer, great year! Get yourself some rechargeable batteries and a charger for your camera, I use 2500 milliamp AAs, they work great and will pay for themselves after using them a few times and they last a long time. I use rechargeables in my detectors as well. HH, Mike

Thanks alot everyone.

I died out some last yr for a few months. One because of the heat. And two I started working all of Dec alot. I only hunted maybe half as much as I was.

I'm not complaining. I would have liked to got the indians closer to 50. And Silver on the 100 end. I didn't make my goals but I am happy with what I got.

It's hard work nowadays finding treasure. It can be a real pain at times. But it is still out there for us to find.

Mountain, Thanks alot for the nice words man. I appreciate you following my posts. You'll be back hunting again.

The city of Pittsburgh has alot of those trolley tokens to be found. I have alot of them. Nice coins. They hold up well to in our soils here.

Mirage, You guys had a super season. It's alot of fun when you have great sites. They will call you. Every free minute you got you'll be there.

The seated wasn't to be had this yr in any type of numbers. I got that really nice 1890 in Dec. Just one seated. But 10 barber dimes. Alot of early dates.

The seated is a really hard coin to find. I've been to some great old sites. But not alot of seateds. The relics I got this yr were really awesome.

I am basically a relic hunter. I dig almost everything. I guess I did o.k if I beat you and Nate even in any category lol.

Mike thanks for the battery idea. I'm gonna go get some good one's. Rechargable does seem to be the best way to go. I can acheive better pics with more time.
