2001 Ds and Ps

Did one of you guys dump all of your 2001 P and D halves recently on the East Coast?

In the last 2 boxes i must have gotten 30 uncirculated 2001 halves which I now have absolutely no idea what to with since they are just so shiny and pretty to look at.

No, but all those 2001's just means that the processing companies like Brinks and Loomis are having to turn to the Fed to fulfil their coin orders. Those 2001s were the last Kennedys struck for circulation, so it makes sense that they would be the first to go out to fulfill incomplete orders.

here on the east coast, I get many shiny 1996 and 2001 coins.

I get a lot of 2001 in the west coast. Four months ago I got a full box of 2010. Kinda sucks, but it is what it is.

Last week while searching through 2 Brinks boxes of halves, my unwanted "coin de jour" was 1982P.I quit counting them after a while but there were over $500 worth of them. Solid rolls and many, many rolls with 15 to 19 each. Very few rolls didn't have a least 2. All were most likely previously uncirculated and all had the same slight toning. Thet must have just come out of long term storage.
