Does anyone know if there is a weak strike error for 2000D Kennedy halves? I have found two so far that are missing the the letters "I" in In God and "ST" in We Trust. Even the date appears to be weak. I've attached one picture to show what I'm talking about. The reeded edge of the coin is not worn and the back is not worn either. (Sorry for the coloring of the picture I didn't have the best lighting.)

I've seen a lot of halves like that. But I always attribute it to wear, not a weak strike.

IMHO.

If the coin is UNC and the strike looks like that it is usually called a "struck through grease" error. See the online sellers for the prices they are asking for that variety. If the coin is worn it's usually attributed to wear or heavy bag marks. On some the weakness will appear on both sides but it is usually just on one side. siegfried schlagrule
