$200 Bag o' nickels. My first CRH Buffalo & 2009

It seems like most everyones' boxes have been picking up lately (except Rich's...go figure) so I decided to give it the ultimate test. For the first time in about 7-8 months, I have 4 boxes coming in next week. My order bank had a bag of nickels off the machine in the vault so I took them. I've only searched about $1500 or so in nickels, but this was my best single nickel (by numbers and variety) score ever.

I also found 4 2009D, 3 war nickels (1943Px2, 1945D) and my first Buffalo from CRH. A 1936. I know nothing about grading Buffs, but its easily the best condition I now have in my collection. Its very shiny and shows absolutely no wear. Looks perfect to me. I probably won't ever become a mega nickel searcher, but I have to admit it was a nice change of pace. HH everyone!

That buff sounds cool. All ive ever found have been dateless or barely readable. Im done with nickels myself. Have to date check them all which is painful and I still have found no use for the rolls or non silver pre 60s.

Kinda cool to find some 2009's in that mix.

I think in a few years they will be worth more than the old ones you found. Shoot, right NOW they are worth more! LKook on ebay. People are selling them for $1.40 per nickel right now. Amazing.

Put the 2009s away and see what the future brings. I keep looking for them, and still need TWO of the 2009P nickels.

Hey - anyone back east want to trade a hard to find 2009P for my hard to find 2009D? :-) I have about a dozen of the 2009D's. took me over a year of searching to find them, but I've kept all I've found. Need two of the P's though.
