Took a week off from hunting for the opening of lobster ๐Ÿฆž season. Spent some time with my son and nephews chasing bugs all over the sea floor. It was a great time had for me and the boys, and we have quite a few more bugs to catch from the boat basin at my nephews home in plantation key. I did get out on Thursday for most of the day. Had a great time offshore at one of the sand bars. Saw some family members show up in there boat, and hung out with them for awhile, and then met the best cuban family ever !! They were great treasure fans, and had many tips and tales to tell. I ended up on there boat drinking beer and having a great back and forth about treasure hunting !! Made some great new friends. But the best find of the day was this nice cuban link in 18k.....its a respectable 20 grams !! Really helps my summer totals on gold.....up until now I was finding good gold, but not the big weight pieces. This piece is a beauty, and has padded my total gold take nicely !!๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜

This one is 14k, so mine should be even better in price.....its a 5mm link !! Not the huge ones that are popular now, but still was a real nice site in the white sands of the keys !! Every gram counts, and a 20 gram hit is sooooo nice !!

My kid at 7am on the first day of lobster ๐Ÿฆž season with his first bug of the year.....and yes he's still in his Christmas light pajamas!! They caught 4 before church by leaning over the dock and snareing them !!

keys life !! Christmas in summer โ˜€๏ธ first day of lobster ๐Ÿฆž season !!

P.S.
If you look in the background of the last picture, you'll see a jet ski on a floating dock....well just forward of that is a gold 2 escudos in a bezel on the bottom!! A family member jumped in 2 years ago, and it came off in mid air as she jumped!! I went down, and I guess it's deeper than I thought and it imploded my eqx 600. The bottom has silt and lots of metal debri. I plan to try again this summer with a hookah rig and my excal !! Tanks and gear was to much, and I stirred the bottom to zero vis !! This little 2 escudos is sentimental, and after punching out a machine at depth I'm even more determined to get the little rascal !!

That sounds like a fantastic way to end the summer vacation for the kids, and a super week for you. have you ever done The Cove sandbar?

Family time/Lobster/Gold.
Don't get much better than that.
Congrats Bart.
Thank you pepper ๐ŸŒถ......the boy is a lobster catching maniac!! He's been getting them for grandma now, and she loves having him get them for her.

Thank you sandog....im not sure exactly where that is, but if it's in the keys I've probably tried it once or twice !!

Not the keys. Fort Pierce inlet. Location of frequent sandbar parties.
Yes I know where you mean....I personally have never hunted there, but there are many places that are similar throughout Florida......so much area here in Florida !!

This time next week headed your way for some quality time with the wife and some swinging time for me. Got four days in Key West, three days in Key Largo, then headed to Ft. Pierce for three days!
