Sunday while detecting in some woods behind a local school I dug this mexican 20 centavos 1943 coin. Then tuesday I was replacing a cast iron drain in a home just across the street and found 13 marbles. They appear to be old and where in the dirt under a drain in an 85yr old home. So these could be pre 1930... does anyone know anything about marbles? I was hoping to find a shooter but after closer inspection there are two sizes. I don't know about everyone else but I love finding marbles. It may be due to the fact I lost all of mine years ago. Good finds,

It's kind of odd that all the marbles you found were all 'Corkscrews'. Especially because they don't look like they all came from the same place. Depending upon the maker, size, condition, number of colors (there are only 2 in each marble in this case) , etc....a 'Corkscrew' can be worth anywhere from a couple of dollars to hundreds of dollars. I'd guess these are around anywhere from 3.00 bucks to 5.00 bucks each.
Then again, I'm no expert... But I do know a little about vintage marbles...
Nice find :)

No such thing as crappy marbles as all marbles are great! Cheers!!

That 20 Centavos is 0.0772 silver.
