My first coins .............. 2 Wheaties cool
1917D and a 1919D both are in excellent condition.
Found in a town called Globe, New Mexico that used to be a Gyp Plaster Factory/Town in the 20's
I noticed a post asking how deep some coins were found and I found both of these less than 1in. down , actually I saw 1 of them before I even Detected it. I do Need to get a camera dammits.
I do have a question on coin grading since I am so new ...........
The only grade for a detected coin could be Au-58 or lower? since had to be in circulation?
Both of these coins are presteen condition never seen better but are black instead of red/brown due to H2S gas in this part of New Mexico...

Dont worry about values on circulated coins unless you find a rare one that has only limited circulation. Your best bet is to preserve what you have and seal it in a mylar coin holder and label it. Your collection will grow and life will be good. Your area sounds great and you should really have a good time finding the old coins out there. Keep on posting and diggin. HH
