2 Wheaties and Pocket Watch

Nice afternoon, so I went to check out the old school site and homeless site. Saw a cellar hole in the hills and went over to check it. Nothing around the entrance and as far as I could reach. Pretty muddy in there with cows being in there. I did find the pocket watch outside on the side of the cellar hole, and the back of the watch about two feet to the right. About 50 feet in front of the cellar hole is a mound with lots of big stones, some bricks, chimney stones, there was even a top of woodburning stove, it was round with hinged flap on one side and small hole on other like glass might of been there. I searched around the area and had a couple good wide hits. Dug way down I know one around a foot and found wide metal, bad thing I didn't bring shovel with me and could get them out. Good reason to go back. Had some othe signals that sounded light and deep. Lot of cattle wander through the area, I went back outside of the fence and into the field area and hunted near the fence on other side of mound area and found the two wheat backs. I also found the almost square rock and the half of 35 cal gun shell. Weather started getting cloudy and look like storm might be heading my way so I hurried over to where the school was suppose to be. Lots of building and concrete pads all around. Two big barns, a long concrete block building about to fall down and another metal one that look like a quansa hut. I didn't go in any but hunted fastly around the block and in front of the metal one and only found cans, the mower blade and scrap metal.
The watch is a Westclock Pocket Ben - on the inside back it has Pat # with made in USA and along the bottom is has 3 23 36. I think that is the date. IF so.. COOOOL
The Wheat back are 1941 and a unknown, to much patina around date. I do see what looks like a nine as last number.

Sorry to see a pocket watch in such bad Shape But great finds !!!! Keep it up I have several that were never Lost in the ground!!!!! On was my Grandfathers!!!

Thank you Chug. Yea the old soil does a number on them. I found one last year with the face in worse shape then that one. you couldn't read anything on it, and the back was rusted shut. I had my grandfathers pocket watched fixed and wore it. Forgot I had it in my pocket and was helping my brother move a Ice box and bam. Broke the glass and hands on it. I put it up and then lost it in our house fire. Shame to. It was an Illinois with the train on it.
