2 what's it's from the rev war site!

The first one is buttonish, but has a hole in the back and is hollow. My next pic is of a piece of ornate copper maybe. I'm not positive what it is made of. Thanks for all your help fellas. I really appreciate it. image.webpimage.webpimage.webpimage.webp
 

Your copper piece maybe brass and looks like a sideplate for a Brown Bess or Model 1768 flintlock. Pictured is a model 1768, but the one on a Brown Bess looks identical. Possibly used on other models??

Looks like the flat-both-side serpent sideplate of a late Second Model Bess. Earlier models were rounded on the outside surface.

Nice find!

Definitely a musket side plate!!! Excellent find:thumbsup:Hard to find intact...I have only dug one intact & several broken ones8-)

Thanks a lot guys! I'm excited to go back. If y'all only knew how many times I have thought that I have dug a piece of a musket only to post them and find out they weren't. That's great news!
