As you stated in the thread title, this needs more research.
 

Likely same source, only rewritten. File it with the others.

I usually just stay on the 84, since my wife is either impatient to get to Idaho Falls, or too tired to stop on the way home. In either case, I have to drive.

Another thing to note is is that the Snake River is heavily dammed on most of its length. I have never checked to
determine if this affects water levels in the area.

Too late for more coffee.
