Well I finally found a silver thimble but it is bent up pretty bad. It will still count though. LOL It was kinda of strange ,I went over an area of the field that I have been over before (I thought ) and right away I dug a thimble. About five feet away I dug the silver one and then a couple of feet away I dug a button. I guess that is what happens when you are in a hurry all the time ,you miss stuff. After that I had a bit of a dry spell . Myself and Redneck hunted for about two hours and we both found some stuff . He got a couple of cool finds also. The take for me was three common coins, two thimbles ,two buttons ,and other odds and ends. I am still shooting for a silver thimble that is in good shape but finding one in good shape in a farmers field is a long shot. There is always next time. ;) Hope all is well and thanks for looking. :)

Nice finds, Bird. :)

It's always good to see that the woman folk owned something!! Even though it is just a thimble. Of all the cellarholes I've hunted, I've only found a few things that would be considered a woman's possession. I always treasure anything that a woman might have dropped. All the rest of my finds are "man tools". :-\

Congrats on the nice finds Bman! Looks like a good day for you and those silver German thimbles are rare. HH, Mike
