Went to an old school site, where the old high school was torn down in the 30s to build the next old high school that now sits empty. I was on a part of the area where I believe there use to be old houses on the school grounds. The first item found was a 1939D merc at about 10". Then came the silver belt buckle at about 12" to 13"s. It was also nice to find the old makeup compact and wwI era marine pin. Thanks for looking!

Cool finds! HH

Nice hunt but, what was in the compact? Congrats on the silver and HH, Mike

Nice finds.. That belt buckkel is really cool... Congrats.

Pretty compact, nice buckle, good pictures, congrats on a great hunt. Cindy

Sounds like an awesome hunt!

Just some type of old makeup compact, it had pieces of mirror in it. Seems like the older they are, the more elaborate they are. There is also fancy work on the sides of the compact that I did not take pictures of.

That would be awesome!

Thanks for the replies! I always seem to come up with an old fancy sterling belt buckle every year for some reason.

That buckle is sweet!

Nice finds!!

The eagle globe and anchor is pre 1950 because it does not had a rope on the bottom of the anchor, I believe. Cool merc!

That's one sweet Sterling belt buckle! I had 2 silver belt buckles somehow manage to lose one of the heavier ones. Congrats!

Nice stuff. I am hunting a local lost school that was torn down in 1930.

a day without pull tabs is like a day without sunshine.

Great finds !! You must have been using your Minelab Explorer to be getting that depth :laughing7: .... were you using the stock coil ?

yes.
