2 silver coins and a crushed old (?) ring today!

Got out today for about 2 - 2 1/2 hrs...the weather was great! I went back to the park where I had found the 1851 Large Cent and MANY wheat pennies but no silver. I knew there had to be silver there somewhere and I was right! My best finds were a 1942 Washington Quarter and a VERY worn Standing Liberty Quarter with no readable date...my first SLQ..YAY!!!! I don't care if she"s worn down, she's beautiful! Also found an interesting older looking ring, not sure if it's silver or not as it has no markings on it. It was crushed pretty bad when I pulled it out of the ground. I think the stone is amber, I saw online that if you put it in a cup of salt water and it floats that it is real amber...I tried it and it floated. The stone was VERY loose in the setting and fell out and it also has a crack in it. Anyone know if amber is valuable at all? If it is (even if not...it just looks cool) I'll probably have it put in a new setting. Also found 9 wheat pennies a 1939, 46, 42, 57, 37, 47, 51, 46 and one I can't tell the date on. Other then that, a reflector and a couple odds and ends. Had a VERY cool and fun day!!!

That stander has been circulated. I love those coins. My Dad, found a ring just like that one about a month ago. Only thing different was his was set in silver.

also that round item looks to be a peice of a pocket watch or compact lid
try about 20-30 feet all around that spot perhaps the rest of "'it" will pop up

Man that's a tight ring!

Some amber has insects and such trapped inside. Looks like yours has a something like that trapped inside, I've seen ants, bettles, crickets, a small leaf or pine needle and the like.
Nice coins too.
