Had a wonderful afternoon metal detecting with my wife at an old farmette in Lebanon, PA. Slim pickings at first but then it picked up. Had a double silver day and a double large cent day. The two large cents are the oldest coins I've found where I can read a date. Amazing that the 1814 is 200 years old!! The penny in the block turned out to be an 81. Today we found pennies from 4 different major varieties - Memorial, wheat, indian head and large cent. And the two large cents are both different varieties too. Enjoy. Thats a great day right there! I live in Mechanicsburg and do some hunting out in Lebanon. It's been hit or miss. I just got a permit for Swatara state park and hope to do some good hunts out there.

Key date L C kid!! Way to go. Only 357,830 minted. $$$

Nice variety of finds!

Very nice coins.

Wow....... nuff said........... well almost. The LC's rock:headbang:

It's definitely iron and not a musket ball. It's about the size of a golf ball.
