Finally had something worth sharing again...

Two rings out of the local swimming hole! Both tungsten carbide, but one was something I'd been asked to keep an eye out for. Knew I was going to detect after work, but wasn't sure where I wanted to go until I saw work being done in the river. The are going to removed some old white water structures and replace them, but had just finished diverting the river and started pumping the area out. The 2 rings, a dime and a penny (zinc) were the only keepers today, but they are pumping down over night, and I'm planning to get up early to get to some of the sweet spots that were still under water when I left. So hopefully I'll have more goodies to post tomorrow!

Hi. Nice finds. Hope you find more when you go back:icon_thumright:

Always like finding jewelry! :occasion14:

No such luck this morning... something went wrong with their pump, and the water was higher this morning than it was last night...

Congrats on the nice rings!

Nice rings. I bet there's more! Congrats!

They got the water down in the more promising half (lots of swimming, rope swings, polar bear plunge, kayakers, etc) by lunch, so I hit it hard and got a few dimes... oh well. Hopefully next week they get the other half drained and I do better there - that is where both of the tungsten rings came from...
