The fragmented looking object has a green patina look now that it has dried. It is slightly bendable. It appears to be "layered". One side is grooved.

Thhe round iron object is heavy.

Any thoughts?

Thanks, the windmill valve makes sense. The other piece intriques me. I detected it and i think it is copper. I have found objects from the 1700's in tjis site. Were their any objects made from layering metal. Old farm but no battles in the area.
