Last minute decision to hit the beach. The wind shift allowed some water hunting and I'm glad I went. Started off real slow but as I worked the water I found a line of bling and coins which included the 2 Kroner (thought it was a token) and the ladies 14k (3gram) wedding band (thought it was Tungsten). Some of the earrings I held out hope that they might have been gold but they proved to be copper with a gold plating. The large what's it... might be a big hoop or a small bracelet... time for the tumbler to find out....
Hunted in PP with the Excal, water was just rough enough I didn't want to keep switching back and forth so I stayed in PP and dug every signal that had sharp edges. Got fooled a few times with bobbie pins and a couple of bottle caps but the ring never sounded off like a round coin like target. This was a soft rise in the threshold and never clipped or went full volume which to me meant a small or deep target. I had to scoop three times to get it BUT there were enough waves that I can't say the ring was deep, I probably just didn't get a good Pinpoint on the target prior to digging.
They are out there, just takes some work to get them..... I'd still be out there but got run out of the water by the lifeguards and some real wicked rain.
