Interesting, but with the first item, the people that found one came from a university.. so i wonder why they kept a piece of junk tire rim weight?

also how big are clevis pins? the one i saw on google that looked like it was small.... this is a about 2" across..

First item is the piston in a piston snap hook.

Second item is a Linch pin. For attaching tractor implements. 2" would be right for a cat 1 hitch (small for a tractor).

Lynch pins are used today, and probably date back at least as far as the Ford 9N tractor with the first 3 point hitch. I don't know how much further back that that they would
go, but over the years there have been all sorts of pins and keepers. I remember hooking up a three point hitch for the first time when I was 14 or 15, which would be 52 or 53.

I've got a 1956 Ford 640 and a bag full of identical linch pins. Gnomes steal them. The ring locks them in place but they somehow still disappear regularly. If you look close you can see one on the draw bar pin.
