Penny inserted to give an idea for size. The little green thingy has some weight and density to it, though small in size. Hollow all the way through, kind of like a double chamber for two small bullets??? So I wonder if it's gun related?? Found in California gold country though up on farm land, not down where mining was done.

The bronze/iron doo-hickey was found in a California coastal community with Spanish history going back to 1700s. I just assumed was a pot handle, but for an awful small pot it would seem. Might it possibly be part of a horse spur? I figure it's one of the two.

The bottom U shaped item looks like a clevis U clamp, kinda like this, if it's threaded in one of the holes.......side view from you would be helpful for an ID

well, a bingo on the green thingy. Those pics are pretty conclusive. So I guess it's not that old?

As for the "pot handle" the hope openings (not seen in the picture) are larger and more egg shaped than the clamp shown in Tedyoh's pic.

well after perusing multiple pics, I believe clevis for flail mower is correct. So much for my fool's paradise that both or at least one of these two items was old!
