Went out again today into the woods. Some targets were frozen in solid and some were soft as summer dirt, Dug to Indian Heads 1888 & 1891 and a Mem..
When I dug one target in the soft dirt was a live toad (about 4" down), he was next to a screw cap. Put him back in and I'm sure he wasn't happy. No he didn't pee on me!!
Yesterday I pulled silver spoon, on the back it reads 1880 pairpoint mfg.co. 6.
Thanks to you MD'ERS here in N.Illinois I went out MDing in the snow

Nice coin shootin....love them little Indians.....cant say the same about toads.

Great job bud!!!

Go get 'em Rich!

BTW, have you tried those huge or those small SEF coils on your DFX? I get mixed reviews but it seems they work well on some makes and less well on others.

Way to go hunting in the snow! Those Indians are nice finds. Like others said, hope you can get some pics up. Also hope that spoon is real silver.

Indian's are nice this time of year. . . or ANY time

(and the toads. . . I unearthed two of those little guys about the same time
last year. . . I ended up re-packing them in a warm leave bed in the hole :))

So the toad was by a screw cap and missed the IH's? So much for using toads to locate coins. ::)

Trained squirrels still the way to go. They dig all over the place. Teach 'em to bring you coins they find for nuts.

Trying to get the focus when zooming in close. Once I get it, I'll post pics.

Wtg on those finds

To take close ups I put a loupe or a magnify glass up against the camera lens.
This gives me better pictures.
Sometimes it distorts the outer sides but it gives it a cool effect...
All my close shots are done that way otherwise they would look crappier....
Have your camera set on macro ( the flower icon )
My best shots are done outside on my sidewalk...Natural light
