Here are the church field finds from last weekend. There were 3 of us again.
Silver ring. No hallmarks so it's probably 1600's or early 1700's.
1p 1870 is a key date.
Late 1700's(?) folding knife and a mystery bronze object.
His second hunt with my old GM1. It can find anything in the right hands but takes months to master.
Another friend's finds with his x-terra 305. Not the ideal machine for fields but finds the large coppers just fine. Glad he found them. Lots of firsts for him there.
Last week's finds combined. Found that silver yesterday.
Pretty good condition. That penny next to it needs some cleaning but it's from the same era.
I still have some time left to detect. I'll get the military service done and be back next year.
