2 HOURS & <<<2000>>> YEARS OF HISTORY....

We finished the last 8 trenches that the Archies filled in. They were in 3 different fields.

I found a lovely Medieval Coin Weight with a Crowned 'I' & feathers either side. At first because of the deep cut letter I thought it was a Seal Matrix.

2 & 1/4 Roman Bronze Coins

A Livery Button

A star find by me - Iron Age (Celtic) Terret Ring (1st century BC) - from an Iron Age Chariot. (Rein guide). This is the most complete one I have found, the only other I have is 1/3 of a ring. Iron Age stuff is extremely Rare. We only get one or two bits a year if we are lucky. Remember Dad has already had a Silver Unit this year, so a great start.

I found an Ink bottle with 'WINSOR & NEWTON Ltd LONDON ENGLAND. When I cleaned out the mud I found a complete nib!

So a good day for only 2 hours.
