After such a great run off the last field it was time to find somewhere else.
We only had a small window of time & for just over the first hour we did some bird cover on the edges of fields. Only had 3 buttons so moved on.
Luckily for us & not the farmer one of our Roman Sites had a very bad black grass issue, it ruined the oil-seed rape crop & they had to spread it all off recently. It's died back well now & although we have hammered this site we managed 2 Roman Coins, plus a few bits;

...thanks for hanging in here. I enjoy your posts.
Mark.
When I'm not drinking, I have the patience of a fisherman.

sigh...
I wish i had some birdcover to cover... :icon_thumright:
Yes, but on this occasion the bird cover was a bust. Glad we have a site to grid which should produce a few Roman Coins.

you are very systematic and it produces big time for you. I am as patient at digging and swinging as my back holds out but fortunately the deus has helped me to keep at it longer. you must have your own museum by now.

Awesome Roman!!! Congrats and HH

Sounds like my hunt today. Short and sweet. Great Roman scrappies Cru.

Cheers

I have had back problems, that's why the GPX would be no good for me & the Deus is perfect for 500+ hours a year. Not had any few issues yet, other than my bike accident, & my shoulder is 90% better.
