Hello all...
desperate for land at this time of year so decided to call were I found the Stirrup Ring and check out the fishing with the land owner, put the detector in the car just in case.
This turned out to be a good decision, all of the fields were under crop but some turf he had been growing had been taken off and a section of about thirty square yards
was detectable.
The usuall bits of scrap lead and quite a few musket balls were all that showed at first, then right out of the blue a hammered coin
looks like one of the Edwards (half groat)
not quite sure which one because the legend has been clipped of
some nicer buttons came to light and a Silver whatsit no idea of what (open to id on buttons and whatsit)
