It is religious holiday in Germany today, so I used this possibility to check the field near the top of the hill and sorrounded by trees.

Found some coins (below), copper horse bell with rusty iron ball in it, buttons - small one looks like younger brother of the bell.
The weather is quite strange, it should be all frozen at the time, but we still have rains.

Here are closeups of coins

Again very nice green patina

This one is practically without corrosion - very rare case even for aluminium bronse

Great finds Sand !! That 2 pfenning is in good shape!

In the forest I feel better, nobody can see me, had already bad experience with people walking around.

Great day out Sand! Some nice coins and relics and a good time. HH, Mike

I know what you mean, Sand. I would rather detect in the woods than anywhere else.

Great find's Sand,love the pfenning's.My oldest to date is a 5/1950.....got that back in change....nice job!!!HH

Wow, I would have thought those aluminum-bronze prewar reichspfennigs would turn dark in the soil.

I like that button with the lion on it.

I always enjoy looking at finds from Europe- I am glad to see several of you here from Germany and the UK. I dream of being able to visit that side of the Atlantic one day.
