Only had 2 hours spare today, plus Dad was doing other things. So I wanted to find the extent of the Roman site we found last year. Last year was the first year we got this land so we know very little about it.

Yesterday we tried the opposite corner to see if the Roman finds spread the length of the field. They did not, so today I tried the middle working my way closer to the area. Only found 2 roman Coins so the search will continue next time.

See picture for explanation.

Re: 2 Hour Hunt - For Limit of ROMAN SITE

Did Roman dudes throw coins? :D I would like to go back 2,000 years and walk around in a Roman villa. At times, I would wink at the Roman chicks walking by. ;) I like to put out the Kirk vibe. ;) :-* :D

Freaky but

The item above the thimble looks remarkably like a modern handcuff key.

Looks like a watch winder and contaminated with iron.

Dave.

Yeap.

Re: 2 Hour Hunt - For Limit of ROMAN SITE

After cycling 10km with the better half. I still had some light left so did another 2 hours:

Only 2 roman coins but I'm getting close as I found my first bit of Roman Pottery Rim.

Very pleased with the Square Medieval Coin Weight with the angel on it. Been months since I have had one.

Might get 2 hours in the morning before going out for CrusaderMum's Birthday.

Nice finds Crusader, I really like all that stuff, coin weights are a favorite of mine! HH, Mike

I am really enjoying your posts Crusader ;D I find them very educational. I see you have found a roman 1/2 Pence also ::)
Keep up the good work, and keep us informed.

God bless
Peter
