Well I was suprised to find this little beauty about 4 inches down near an old shade tree along a house built in the late 1800's. I pulled it from the hole and saw the big 2 on it right away, first thing i thought was a US 2 cent piece...Then saw the date 1903 hmmm a little to late for one of those. So with no writing on the coin the google image search began, a few hours later a found out it is a 2 heller austrian coin. Little pennsylvania coal mine town with company houses and barely a post office has coughed up a 57 washington, 40 merc, and 16 wheaties dates from the 20's to the 50's, and now a pretty old austrian coin. btw homeowner says there has been people metal detecting this house for many years now, guess a site never is completely searched out...
