Hi everybody.

Last night I hit a playground that produced 2 gold rings. One of them is marked 14k and the other one is marked 10k.

The 14k ring looks like a wedding ring, the center stone is missing, but he beget diamonds are still in there setting. It also has a part of what looks like a date stamped inside the of band, and a heart stamped hallmark.

The 10k ring looks like a birth ring or something similar, the center setting is also missing it too. I’m guessing this ring's setting must have been something like black onyx, opal, or a similar gemstone. It has a number stamped into the under gallery.

I also found what has to be a recently dropped 1941 wheat penny, it was found in the chips too.

Thanks for looking and good liuck.

Sweet finds!! Congrats on a two gold ring day!! I've found 5 14k ear rings, but not a single ring after finding 50+ last year!!

Excellent finds! You've been really kickin' butt out there lately!

Great job ant!
You got to love a 2 ring gold day!
Congrats........

Great day out - I'm a little surprised that both rings were found without the center stones and in what was close

proximity in the wood chip lot. Argentium.

Hey, thanks for all the nice words.

Hi Argentium:

I find them like that every now and then. Someone pointed out to me that a post setting on a ring is used for pearls. The other setting looks like it only has 2 prongs and was used on a Marques stone most likely a diamond like the begets diamonds still in their bent and crushed settings. Both of these rings came from a wood chipped playground with gobs kids playing.

You might be able to see a few more in that condition in one of my 45 gold finds from last year. You can see them at this link, many still embedded in rock hard dirt.

Is that enough?
