2" gold dredge mat replacement

I am I central Alabama and most alI I find is fine gold. I need to replace my mat under my riffles. I'm thinking of going with the miners moss or hog mat instead of the ribbed carpet. I'm using a Keene 2" dredge and don't know if it would help or hurt. I was told if I change I would have 2 use the black ribbed mat under the miners moss or hog mat. If anybody could help, I could use it!!!!

Ribbed carpet and good to go-keene/proline or Veranda is just fine-convalution is not the solution as multiple layers of thick coverings buries your riffles,impacts whenever plugged up(2" always plugups) and a lot less cleanups to remove impaction-keep it simple and just have some with that tiny ol'thang-John

Make the 2" buy the 4" for you this summer! Then keep the 2" for those remote little creeks that the 4" won't work in.

also have the 2 inch for getting a hole started for he 4 to go into for them shallower streams.
